I'm Alexis
I'm an animator and designer based in Brooklyn, New York and I'm passionate about bringing your stories to life. I have 5 years experience animating as a student and freelancer, and have learned much along the way. I'm interested in experimental processes as well as traditional narrative animation in both stop motion and 2D animation. I'm a designer at heart, and love collaboration when working with a passionate partner. Much of my personal work surrounds slice-of-life subjects, bring the ordinary into a more whimsical light. I'm very excited to expand my horizons with new projects and new collaborators in NYC.

During the summer between getting my associate's and starting the rest of my undergrad, I decided to apply for Paper Brain's remote summer animation internship. I learned valuable information about working as a freelancer and the animation pipeline during this process.

I was a freelance production and art assistant on "toymation" projects for clients such as Netflix and Nickelodeon, crafting miniature props, hand modeling, and doing animated sequences.

Finally moving to New York, I decided to finish my undergrad at Pratt, honing in on my skills as an animator and making valuable industry connections in the city. I will graduate in 2028.

When I moved back to Sacramento, I continued my studies in animation and design and graduated with my Associates in Art New Media in Fall 2024. I won a grant and was interviewed for the school newspaper while at ARC.

I attended Academy of Art my freshman year of college, building my knowledge of animation and fine arts skills and history. This is where I found my passion for stop-motion animation and gained valuable studio experience.

I wanted to explore career development outside of a traditional college setting and landed on Aardman Academy's incredible 10-week industry training course that provided me with lessons and mentorship with working professionals in stop-motion.
